About the Business
Being new to retail, starting this new venture was a challenge (to say the least!). However, Ann seized the initiative and started to build the Brambles business, which was not only based on stocking and supplying quality products ideal for its customers, but also firmly grounded in delivering a warm, old fashioned, customer service. Brambles quickly became very popular in the surrounding areas, not only becoming known as a place to buy beautiful cards and gifts, but also somewhere in which customers could experience a welcoming and friendly environment. From small beginnings, Brambles had grown into business with a name for supplying high quality goods and service at a reasonable price, carrying an increasing number of the leading brands in giftware, with focus being placed on where possible, sourcing goods from within the UK.
