At Little Trove, we are a little business with big ambitions. Big ambitions to work at grassroots level with artisan groups across Asia and Africa to give them design and business help to produce appealing items for you, our customers. It is more than just design-led fair trade. We are helping some artisan groups set up from scratch. Using fair trade principles to build sustainable businesses. That takes time, money and effort. If you want a large wholesaler with loads of factory-bought goods at cheap prices, then you are on the wrong website. But if you want to make a positive contribution to this story, then please read on.
Unfortunately, those suppliers are often in the developing world and can't afford to be short-changed. So while the richest companies keep getting richer, the World Bank estimates that two billion people still live in abject poverty.
They are basic human rights. Wouldn't you agree?
