About the Business
We started out in 2006 as an eco friendly gift shop in North Staffordshire selling all the usual handicraft products (not to mention some more unusual gifts) from the developing world such as jewellery, bags, furniture, etc etc etc before we found that there are many ways shoppers can make a difference.
Shoppers need (and want!) to buy products which are not only helping struggling producers in developing countries, but also products which are eco friendly or sometimes locally produced to help the environment. Each shopper has different requirements but we always aim to provide products which as well as being ethical are also beautiful and high quality; so they will be used but also so they last and discourage our modern day "throw away" culture.
